Hepatitis F is a speculative infection connected to hepatitis. A few hepatitis F applicants developed in the 1990s; however none of these cases were substantiated.[1][2][3]
In 1994, Deka et al. announced that novel viral particles had been found in the stool of post-transfusion, non-hepatitis A, non-hepatitis B, non-hepatitis C, non-hepatitis E patients.[4] Injection of these particles into the circulatory system of Indian rhesus monkeys caused hepatitis, and the infection was named hepatitis F or Toga infection. Advance examinations neglected to affirm the presence of the infection, and it was delisted as a reason for irresistible hepatitis.[3][5]
A consequently found infection thought to cause hepatitis was named Hepatitis G infection, however its part in hepatitis has not been affirmed and it is currently viewed as synonymous with GB infection C and is a "vagrant infection" with no causal connects to any human disease.[6]
